Shane Dice

I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home, with both parents involved in full-time Christian service. As a four year old boy, I made a profession of faith which I later doubted as real, because of a lack of understanding my sinful condition. One Sunday, while in the sixth grade boys Sunday School class, my teacher spoke directly to those of us in a Christian home. He said, “You can’t get into Heaven just because your parents are saved. You have to make that decision for yourself.” The Holy Spirit convicted me, and I knew that I was one of those unsaved church kids. In the following service our pastor preached about Hell, and I knew that’s where I was headed. So, after the invitation began I went to the altar, and was gloriously saved.

As a teen, I knew that God wanted me to surrender my life to His service. Proverbs 3:5, 6 became my life verse, and I committed my life to Him. After high school, I attended Bible college where I studied missions and graduated with a Missions diploma. Following Bible college, I continued to serve in the church by helping teach in the sixth grade boys class, working in the bus ministry, College & Career class, and music ministry. While serving in the church I met Jericho, and two years later we married.

Through God’s leading, one year later, we started attending Beth Haven Baptist Church. Our time there has been very fruitful and a time of spiritual growth. I’ve learned much from our pastor and from the counseling courses taken at Beth Haven Baptist Seminary.

For the past six years God has allowed us to serve in many ways. I taught the 11 and 12 year old boys for the first three years, and taught the College & Career class for the past three. In 2016 the church ordained me to be a deacon. I’ve also been involved in leading the soulwinning ministry and participating in various roles in the music ministry.

In October of 2019, Jericho and I went on a missions trip to England, to visit our missionaries, Kent and Andrea Gossmeyer and Wayne and Linda Grissom. While there, God opened our eyes to the need and burdened our hearts. On the drive down to Cornwall from London we drove through city after city that at one time had a Bible-believing Baptist Church, but no longer does. In Cornwall County, there are over 565,000 people with only one Baptist church of like faith. After our trip I began to pray, “Here am I Lord, send me” and on August 2, 2020, God told me, “It is time”. After the service I shared with Jericho what God had told me, and over the course of a month we prayed with our Pastor; during that time God gave us clear direction and His peace to go to England as missionaries.

We had planned to take a four month survey trip in January of 2021, but due to additional Covid lockdowns in England we started deputation instead in February of 2021.

Once we arrive our focus will be on helping the existing works in Plymouth and Liskeard, and long term our goal is to see additional churches planted in the south of England. We will be following the Great Commission and the biblical plan in Acts to get this done.

Jericho Dice

I grew up in a Christian home. I went to church every service, every special service, conference, and revival. I made a profession of faith at the age of four, and relied on that for several years. However, I eventually began to doubt that I really even knew what I was doing at that age. In the sixth grade, my school teacher was giving his testimony, and it made me realize that I was not saved. So at that time, I prayed a silent prayer of “Lord, if I’m not saved, save me.” I prayed it just to “check the box” so to speak of asking for salvation.

Then after my senior year of high school, my last year of summer camp, Bro. Rick Dawson was preaching, and gave his testimony. He had made a profession of salvation, then years later, after he was already pastoring a church, he realized he wasn’t saved. But he was afraid of what people would think if he made that known, so he put it off for a while.  But he came to the realization that it didn’t matter what others thought, it was his eternity at stake.

Then one evening in cabin devotions, one of my classmates, a pastor’s daughter, gave testimony that she had just gone through the same thing. She had been struggling, knowing she wasn’t truly saved. A couple weeks prior, she had asked the Lord to save her, but hadn’t made it known publicly until that moment.

I had been struggling for years, knowing that my 2 prior professions of salvation were not genuine. Hearing those two testimonies that week at camp helped me realize it didn’t matter what others thought. I didn’t need to let that fear keep me from spending my eternity with God. So that night, praying with my youth pastor’s wife, I repented of my sins, and asked the Lord to save me.

Our Mission Field

England has a population of 55.98 million people and is 50,302 square miles, roughly the size of Alabama. England has only about 25 independent Baptist churches while Alabama has about 348 for 5 million people. There is a great need to spread the Gospel by planting independent Baptist Churches in England.

Independent Baptist Churches in England vs Alabama

What We Believe...

We believe the Authorized King James Bible is the Inspired, Inerrant, Infallible and preserved Word of God for English speaking people and use it exclusively.  We accept the Bible as the supreme and only authority in faith and life.  We do not however hold the Ruckman position of double inspiration.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Genesis account of creation is to be accepted literally, not allegorically or figuratively; that man was created directly in God’s own image and was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species.

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of Mary, a virgin, and is true God and true man.

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God and literal eternal judgment in Hell and the Lake of fire: and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and, in the case of those who reach the age of moral responsibility, are sinners in thought, word and deed.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

We believe that Salvation is by grace through faith without the addition of any works. We believe that repentance is necessary to salvation. We reject the doctrinal errors of both Calvinism and Arminianism. We believe in both the response of man, and the sovereignty of God, that when man chooses to accept salvation, he is kept by the power of God unto the day of redemption (eternal security).

We believe in believers only baptism, that baptism by immersion is an answer of good conscious toward God. That salvation and scriptural baptism are requirements to membership in the Local New Testament Church, but that baptism holds no saving power.

That the Church of our Lord is a viable, local, self governing body of believers who have been baptized and that there are only two ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s supper, both of which are administered only to believers.  We reject the doctrine of the universal church.

We believe that upon salvation the believer is sealed and indwelled by the Holy Spirit of God. We are non charismatic, and do not believe that speaking in tongues, or signs and wonders are actively being used by the Holy Spirit of God today.

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there as High Priest and Advocate.  We also believe that because of His bodily resurrection we will also be bodily raised and given a new glorified body to live with Him forever

We are dispensational in theology and believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the saints and a Pre-millennial return of Christ to set up His literal Kingdom on this earth.
